With extensive experience in contracting, farming, and business they transformed their passion for their home town into a sprawling landscape to be shared amongst all. “This golf course was built for everyone to experience. We have hopes it will be a lasting staple of the community for years to come. Our fearless Lead Golf Operations Manager for 17 years and counting! Jim has spent his life committed to excellence in sports. Jim came to Apple Greens form the esteem Highland’s Country Club in Garrison, NY. With a passion for golf and a deep appreciation for team leadership he continues to lead our team with professionalism and community involvement. Jim’s experience has transformed Apple Greens into the leading golf course in daily rounds and seasonal tournaments in the entire Hudson Valley. His work ethic, dedication, and continued desire to keep evolving has been the pivotal influence of the exceptional golf experience here at the Apple. “Managing a 27-hole facility was a worthy challenge when I first started. Over the years, with the assistance of the owners and staff, I have managed to design a rotational flow that keeps this business successful while catering to the needs of our golfers. I am grateful for the proximity to my family, for this community, and the laid back local customer base we all get to be a part of.”

Russ has devoted over 25 years of grit to Apple Greens. As the Superintendent of grounds his relentless efforts of perfection are beyond commendable. Russ began his turf career at the Granite Hotel in Kerhonkson, NY. After 4 steady years of ground maintenance he jumped the Shawangkunk Ridge to Apple Greens. Originating in the great state of Pennsylvania, Russ is no stranger to the grueling demands of turf and golf course preservation. His years of persistence and passion for this property show up in every square inch of the hundreds of acres of land we call home. “The sun-up to sun-down days can get tough. But when you get to stand on this property in the quiet early mornings or calm evening hours you get to look out at an impeccable landscape and think, ‘Man, I did that.’ Thankful for the opportunity to be here.”
